My Dad sent me this picture of my step mother and baby siblings from a recent family trip back to Australia and I just find it too precious for words. Any time my baby brother manages to look peaceful will render me speechless. 

I remember the 2008 Olympic games when he was just a newborn sleeping peacefully in my arms as I screamed at Grant Hackett to SWIM FASTER, GODDAMNIT! Can’t believe he’s four already. 

MOTHERFUCK. I got my Summer Secret Santa gift in the mail today. IT’S A FUCKING TARDIS FILLED WITH VEGAN LOLLIES. I literally GASPED when I unwrapped it and saw the Tardis. A TARDIS! You girls know me so fucking well. 

Now to pack the candy away and not binge on it until after Summersonic!

Today was the Tenjin Matsuri Festival in Osaka, one of the three largest annual festivals in Japan. I was lucky enough to get a really great spot right on the river with a great view of the boats and the fireworks, courtesy of my friend Carlos. 

Also, snow cones are the best when the humidity is kicking your arse. 

I’m probably the only person who can be bribed to go to a bar with fresh watermelon instead of booze. 

Marta was unhappy with how fast I was drinking and naturally decided that extra straws would help me finish faster. It got a little ridiculous. 

Trekked out to a farmers market on the hunt for some reasonably priced fruit and veg (don’t get me started on the cost of fruit & veg in Japan) today and finally came across one of their infamous square watermelons.

Spent the afternoon at some beach party in Suma. It was nice to feel a cool breeze after all the humidity these last few days.
